Catherine Davidson is a commercial mediator practising in Australia and internationally, principally in the Asia Pacific. She is nationally accredited (AMDRAS), certified by the International Mediation Institute (IMI) and Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI). Catherine has mediated over twelve hundred disputes and is appointed to international and national panels including the Abu Dhabi Global Markets Arbitration Centre Panel of Mediators, SIMI Mediator Panel, NSW Government Office of Small Business Commissioner Panel, Australian Disputes Centre Mediator Panel, Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (Franchising) Mediation Panel, the NSW Farm Debt Mediation Panel and is a Mediator with the NSW Personal Injury Commission. Catherine has a legal background having practised commercial litigation in Sydney and London. Her commercial disputes practice includes construction, engineering and infrastructure, corporate, intellectual property, banking and finance, insurance, professional negligence, transport, wills/estates, commercial leases, IT, partnership agreements, environment and planning, franchising, small business, and personal injury. Catherine mediates class actions and disputes involving litigation funding. Catherine is Teaching Fellow LLM at University of New South Wales. She is a member of the teaching faculty with the Resolution Institute in Australia delivering mediation training. She lectures on Negotiation Skills in the Advanced and Executive MBA programmes of University of Technology Sydney.
