Tabitha van den Berg has been a senior mediator and court-accredited mediator for over a decade. As a full-time practitioner who start at the age of 30, she experienced the challenges of being an entrepreneur, faced a field in which being (relatively) young was considered a disadvantage, and went ahead and built a successful business anyway. Though her practice is predominantly commercial, focusing on business and labour disputes, she has also substantial experience in applying mediation in major societal challenges, involving government stakeholders, NGO’s, corporates ,and citizens. She believes that we need young professionals, a better representation of professionals with different backgrounds, more research, and increased public awareness to bring the mediation revolution up to speed, and does not fear to speak out on those topics.
