Tat is an IMI-certified mediator and an IMI-certified mediation advocate. He has mediated and advocated in over 800 mediated cases involving a wide range of disputes. His dispute resolution practice has been ranked in The Legal500 and he is recognized by WhosWhoLegal as a Global Elite Thought Leader for mediation. In his role as a commercial mediator and a mediator of the World Bank independent accountability mechanisms, he has mediated disputes involving parties from different jurisdictions and diverse cultures. He is a contributor to publications on mediation practice, including “Singapore Civil Procedure” (White Book) (Thomson Reuters Sweet & Maxwell), Mediation Practice (International Chamber of Commerce) and Stories Mediators Tell (World Edition) (American Bar Association). He is the chair of the International Mediation Institute, the chair of the Society of Mediation Professionals (Singapore), and a board member of the Singapore Mediation Centre, International Academy of Mediators, and the International Bar Association mediation committee’s advisory board.
